1. What is the MIF Online Financing Application?
The MIF Online Financing Application is the process through which a person can request MIF funding for a project idea through the website www.fomin.org.
2. Who is eligible to apply for MIF financing?
This online mechanism is available to any person who represents an institution or organization that satisfies the criteria the MIF requires in order to evaluate a proposal for financing, shown subsequently.
3. ¿Which steps should I follow to request MIF financing?
The online application process involves three main steps:
Step 1
First, the applicant must create a user account with the MIF (or enter his or her existing account) by accessing the MIF website to proceed with the “Online Application” system.
Note: Creating a MIF user account allows the applicant to enter information and send the application in more than one sitting, if need be. Registering thus grants the user flexibility in the completion/editing of the online financing application.
Step 2
After clicking on “Online Application” the user will be able to complete the “Eligibility Form” eight preliminary questions. These questions will instantly determine whether your idea meets the MIF's financing criteria and will establish whether you can continue with the application process.
Step 3
If your idea meets the eligibility criteria, you will have the option to complete the application. Once completed, you can send it to the MIF and upon doing so you will receive an email notification informing you that you have successfully submitted your request.
The MIF will form a committee that will evaluate your application and determine if it is aligned with its “Access Framework.” This process may take several weeks, but you have the option to review the status of your request at any moment.
