FINANCING
The MIF provides financing in the form of grants, loans, guarantees, equity and quasi-equity or any combination thereof, as well as advisory services, provided that it maintains its essential grant-making character.
Our data shows that, on average, 65% of MIF resources have been deployed as non-reimbursable technical assistance grants, and 35% have been used to provide loans or investments.
In order to maximize its impact, the MIF focuses on development challenges where it can achieve the greatest impact. For each development challenge, the MIF establishes an ambitious but achievable objective, and identifies the combination of projects and activities that are most likely to deliver the desired outcomes.
