Business Skills Training for Informal Sector Entrepreneurs


COLOMBIA

Microfinance institutions (MFIs) do more than just provide credit. They can also offer vital business training services for microentrepreneurs, activities which in turn create new channels of income for MFIs, helping to secure their institutional sustainability. Working with affiliates of Acción International, this regional project helped to develop a transferable educational model for institutions to provide practical and effective training services for informal sector entrepreneurs.
