COLOMBIA

Starting a business in many Latin American countries is not easy. Entrepreneurs must navigate the web of burdensome and costly rules and regulations required to register new businesses or otherwise formalize business activities. This project in Colombia set out to make it easier for start-ups to get off the ground by streamlining the steps needed for their registration, creating one-stop shops, or Business Service Centers (Centros de Atención Empresarial, CAE in Spanish), in six chambers of commerce throughout the country.
