Adopt-A-Farmer Program in Tobago

Once home to a thriving agricultural economy, the island of Tobago is now highly dependent on imported fruit and produce to provide for residents and businesses, including those making up the island’s main economic driver: the tourism industry. Expanding on a pilot project initiated by the Travel Foundation Tobago, this project aims to spread the benefits of tourism to the wider community by matching farm supply with demand for fresh produce from hotels.
