Improving Youth Employment through Beauty Skills Training


TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO

While rates of youth unemployment are high across Trinidad and Tobago, and teenagers ages 15 to 19 account for almost 30% of the country’s unemployed poor, one of the areas where it is particularly acute is in the rural communities of Northeastern Trinidad. This project aims to create a skills training center that offers certified programs in cosmetology and beauty therapy to at risk youth, also helping to place students with jobs.
