NICARAGUA

To compete in international markets,  businesses have to understand distribution channels, sector tendencies and target market demands. Artisans in three Central American countries – Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua – have chosen to improve their products and techniques in order to reach international markets and increase their sales in the region.

  • The project supports training in product design and development for over 140 artisans, promoting their access to international markets.
  • 550 microproducers have increased their value added in production by at least 20%.
  • The beneficiaries are mainly women (60%) in rural areas (90%).
